A couple of weeks ago my fiance and I celebrated our (first) engagement party. It was an amazing night, that was over way too quickly! But one of the perks of being from opposite sides of the world is that we often get 2 of things! So we’re lucky enough to be celebrating a second time in Canada when we head over to visit my family for holidays.

As with all events, one of my favourite parts is finding THE outfit. I say favourite, but this is often a painful process as I struggle to find the EXACT outfit I’ve dreamed up in my head. And this time was no different as a I dragged my amazing bridesmaids around Sydney in search of something that didn’t exist (I owe you guys). After a couple marathon shopping days, a bit of drama, and no luck, I finally regrouped and redefined what I was looking for. Something white, something delicate and of course, something beautiful. Soooo off to LOVER we went!

As soon as I had this dress on I was sold. It ticked all the boxes and I felt amazing in it, exactly what you want in a party dress! I often wear a lot of simple pieces but I have a huge appreciation for detail, and the lace detail that LOVER put into their pieces is just so beautiful. I can’t believe I didn’t think of this first. But where’s the fun in that?!
