I think we can all agree how essential a quality dress shirt is for any wardrobe. Whether you’re consciously building a capsule wardrobe or continually collecting beautiful pieces, it is my opinion that the value of a good shirt is immeasurable.
A couple months ago I was introduced to a brand who’s sole ambition is to offer the perfect silk shirt. The Fable, offers a small range of button downs, each defined by its unique colour, all boasting a relaxed, flattering fit. And it gets better. From hand selecting the fabric, to dying of the buttons, each detail of the design process is carefully considered and perfected by the designer herself. In today’s world of fast fashion and mass production this kind of organic design is seemingly becoming a thing of the past, making labels like The Fable it all the more valuable. While we can’t ignore the convenience and affordability of fast fashion, for me, it will never replace the luxury of wearing a piece that was created and not just made. After all, isn’t that the very essence of “fashion”?

Great post, I totally agree that having and wearing a piece that was created is far superior to the fast fashion of today. A beautiful silk shirt is timeless.

Glad to hear it, and enjoy!! I would love to be there!! xx
Couldn’t agree more, the perfect button down is essential, and I have been on the hunt for awhile, definitely going to go and check out the fable.
You definitely should! I have two of her shirts now. Also you can hand wash them and they come up beautifully instead of having to dry clean. Always an added bonus! 🙂 xx
You’ve inspired me to fish out my navy button up silk shirt (even if it’s stinking hot here – #takemebacktocanada!). The Fable sounds like a needle in a haystack in this day and age – a blessing, no doubt! Quality over quantity. <3

I love my Equipment silk shirts, I’ll have to take a look at Fable. Also, you look great in those sunglasses, I tried them on and they were so not cool on me. 🙁
